Jamaican Curry Goat

A Insanely delicious slow cooked Jamaican spices curry that is full of flavor and tender to the bone. This Jamaican Curry Goat is a must make Jamaican dish which is also super easy to be made.

Growing up in Jamaican, curry Goat was a special dish made for parties and celebrations. It wasn’t something you’ll eat every day. Curry Goat was the sole meat dish at every party I’ve ever been to. Back in the day when Curry Goat was the king of the “parties,” you had to hire a “specialist” to cook. That person was usually a senior member of the village or town. The “specialist” never revealed exactly what he/she was doing, so the Curry Goat Cooking remains a guarded secret for a while, at least the “big parties” Curry Goat style of cooking.

For those of you who have never tired it, it’s a must have Jamaican recipe. The dish is favored with white rice, rice and peas, dumplings or roasted breadfruit. It can be served for either breakfast, lunch or dinner
